Human existence, seen, unseen, breathes life into my images. Surfaces tell their stories, weaving history and meaning into the fabric of our being.
I work primarily in porcelain, enjoying its pure, fragile and translucent qualities. My process is thoughtful, intuitive, yet playfully subversive. I use a fragmented, layered and textured technique which I feel enhances a sense of fragility and strength, discord and disquiet, whilst embodying the harmony and complexity of our human existence.
Always pushing the boundaries Anne-Marie blended a career in psychiatry with personal development, shamanism and hypnosis before finding in art a freedom to express the complexity and potential within the human condition.
